About Us

The Story:

About Jammy Jams…

Jammy Jams is a fun, modern twist on lullabies for parents who strive to create memories with their little ones while teaching them a thing or two about their own style. Soothing sounds of vibraphone, marimba, xylophone, piano, blocks and more performed and arranged by Tim Phillips and Jeff Bradford. Jammy Jams features lullaby renditions of songs originally by everyone from Dr. Dre to Whitesnake, Eminem to David Bowie, Lady Gaga to The Beastie Boys! In 2010, shortly after Jeff and his wife Lynn welcomed their son Rollins into the world, Jeff was inspired by his son (during late night feedings) to develop lullabies that would not only provide soothing, calming music for baby, but would also entertain the parents. On one late night in the winter of 2010, Jammy Jams was born!

The Music

About Jeff Bradford…

Jeff Bradford was born and raised in the suburbs of Washington, DC. At the age of five, he picked out a drum set for his birthday and he has been making music ever since. His love of music, combined with his talent and disposition for creativity, opened the door to amazing musical opportunities. As a young teenager Jeff performed all over the Washington, DC and Baltimore areas and eventually expanded his musical horizons by playing club tours throughout the United States. Bradford played drums for many bands over the years including Tribal Voice, Landspeedrecord!, Onespot Fringehead and most recently toured the US and Canada with Hollowboy.

About Tim Phillips…

Tim Phillips was born, raised, and still resides in Baltimore. He fell in love with synthesizers early on after seeing Duran Duran on TV and then discovered songwriting later when introduced to The Cure. Though going to college as an art major, he started forming bands with friends and music quickly became his artistic outlet. Even though Tim didn’t meet Jeff until after a decade of too many bands to mention, they would come to find out they shared a number of mutual friends. After a few years of writing and touring together as Hollowboy, they began to collaborate on Jammy Jams. When Tim isn’t working on lullabies, he writes and performs with My Enemy Complete, an electronic-rock band based in the DC/Baltimore area.

The Art:

About Mike Hilton…

Mike Hilton grew up playing music and creating art. It was only natural that he should combine these hobbies into careers in his adult life. He went on to design for bands and record labels, both as freelance gigs and at a CD manufacturing company where he worked for many years. His experience includes music packaging layout for many popular bands, record labels and even clothing and more formal business companies. He was introduced to Jeff Bradford through music and bands in his twenties and been friends ever since. Jeff always had a habit of bouncing ideas off of people and Mike continued to listen to all of them. Some of them crazy far-off ideas, some of them more realistic ideas, but eventually one idea had real staying power: Jammy Jams. Mike was excited to jump on board providing art direction, illustrations and layout for the company.
